ICAR- National Institute of Natural Fibre Engineering & Technology (NINFET), Kolkata is organizing a five-day online training programme on “Value Chain Management in Natural Fibres” in collaboration with “National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management (MANAGE) from 25^th to 29^th November, 2024. In the inauguration programme, Dr. D.B. Shakyawar, Director, ICAR-NINFET welcomed all the participants and emphasized the improvement in value chain of natural fibre for replacement of plastic and other synthetic materials. Dr. Pradip Dey, Director ICAR-ATARI, Kolkata was chief guest of the programme. He explained the different activities of value chain and the process of implementation of hurdle index for improvement. There are 40 trainee participants from different universities. 20 expert lectures from seven different institutes will be delivered during the course of the training programme.
