Training on Public-Private partnership in natural fibre production, processing & value addition inaugurated

An on-line training programme on “Public-Private
partnership in natural fibre production, processing & value addition” sponsored by National Institute of Agricultural Extension Management
(MANAGE), Hyderabad was inaugurated here today.
Mr. Anindya Majumdar, Chief
Manager, Jute Corporation of India (JCI)
has graced the occasion as Chief Guest and highlighted upon the
importance of public-private partneship in creating sustainable enterprises in
natural fibre sector.
Dr. D.B. Shakyawar, Director, ICAR-NINFET has
welcomed the trainees and briefed them about the activities of the institute
including new technologies developed for processing and value addition in
natural fibres.
Dr. K.C. Gommagolmath, Director
(M&E), MANAGE has complemeted the efforts ICAR-NINFET in organizing this
5-days on-line training programme and stressed upon further collaborations in future.
Dr. Laxmikanta Nayak, Head,
Transfer of Technology Division has coordinated the programme and briefed the
participants about the contents and objectives of this training.
Dr. Deb Prasad Ray, Head, CBP Division and
Nodal Officer, HRD Cell has elaborated upon the training programmes organised
in collaboration with various funding agencies.
Er. H.K. Baite, Co-cordinator has
offered hearty vote of thanks at the end of the inaugural programme.
Seventy-two (72) participants representing ICAR institutes, State Agricultural Universities, KVKs, FPCs and Enterprises have registered for this 5-days on-line training programme.
