The "E-Commerce Platform Creation for Eco-Friendly Products Made of Natural Fiber Products & Allied Materials" program, organized by ICAR-NINFET, was held on June 14, 2024. This event aimed to explore the potential of e-commerce platforms in promoting eco-friendly products made from natural fibres and allied materials. The program was chaired by Dr. D.B Shakyawar, Director, ICAR-NINFET, Dr. L. K. Nayak, Head, TOT Division, and Dr. S. B. Roy, Principal Investigator, Agribusiness Incubation (ABI) and Smt. Sudeshna Roy, Director, M/s. Avahita Marketing & Consulting Service Private Limited.

Dr. D. B. Shakyawar, Director, ICAR-NINFET, delivered a brief program address emphasizing the importance of adopting e-commerce strategies to enhance the market reach and sustainability of eco-friendly products. He discussed the potential of e-commerce platforms to revolutionize the market for eco-friendly products, offering valuable insights into future trends and opportunities for stakeholders.

Dr. LK Nayak, Head, TOT Division, emphasized that such e-commerce platform help the entrepreneurs to sale their product in grassroot level.

Dr. S.V. Roy, programme coordinator, mentioned that implementation of e-commerce platform will help the entrepreneur to maintain the quality of product in mass level.

Smt. Sudeshna Roy, Director of M/s. Avahita Marketing & Consulting Service Private Limited, delivered a detailed concept note about e-commerce platform ideas and the role of stakeholders. She also emphasized innovative strategies and the potential impact of digital platforms on the natural fibre industry.

In this event 80 entrepreneurs/ stakeholders/ artisans related to jute diversified products were participated.
