National Level Training Organized at ICAR-NINFET, Kolkata

National Food Security Mission (NFSM), Commercial Crops sponsored 3-days National Level Training on “Production and retting technology of jute/mesta/ramie/sunnhemp include other related aspects” was inaugurated here today.
Dr. L.K. Nayak, Director (Officiating) has welcomed the trainees and briefed them about the importance of accelerated retting technologies in quality jute production.
Dr. N.C. Pan, Chief Guest, Ex-Director, ICAR-NINFET has stressed upon the better coordination with jute growing states for dissemination of newly developed technologies.
Shri Sujai Das, Scientist has coordinated the programmes and offered hearty vote of thanks at the end of the inaugural programme.
Thirteen (13)
officials from jute growing states of West Bengal, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh &
Meghalaya have participated in this training.
